International Summer Camp

International summer camps are designed to provide activities during summer vacation in a different country. Summercamps are an extremely fun, different and exciting way to spend vacation. Now, add the international factor to it, and, voilá! You have the perfect summer!

Summer programs vary a lot, and they can include as many activities as regular summer camps: sports, camping, excursions, handcrafting, etc. But international versions may include traveling, culture and language immersion, and even more unusual activities, such as cooking lessons. Many times you do not need even an intermediary organization, but is always better to have someone to arrange for your program.

Regular summer camps last one month, but there are several options, for less or more time. They can be considered a short-term youth exchange program, and many times it also includes a homestay program with a local family.

If you are not sure about going abroad by yourself, summer camps are an excellent option to have an idea of a longer-term program. The only disadvantage is that the flight costs increase during summer, so paying for a summer camp can be as expensive as 50% to 80% the cost of a year-long program!

Nevertheless, summer camps are an excellent choise of seing life out of your country.
